Issue Position

North Carolina's military bases -- particularly Ft. Bragg and Pope Air Force Base, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Base Support Unit Elizabeth City, Camp Lejeune, MCAS Cherry Point -- are critical to our economy, our safety, and our security in a volatile world. I strongly support President Trump's efforts to increase funding for our military and make sure our armed forces are ready and able to successfully face whatever challenges may confront them.

Our veterans risk their lives to defend us and we must honor our commitments to them. We must continue to increase funding for the VA and make sure veterans receive the care they need for both physical and mental health.
